Simple AeroPress Recipe by: AureliuzRex
Standard and Inverted methods (I usually use Inverted)
Standard Method:
13g of medium fine coffee
225g of 93c boiled water
2 AeroPress filter papers
- 13g of coffee into AeroPress.
- Start timer.
- Pour 225g of water into AeroPress.
- Stir 5 times with included stir stick or 10 times with chopstick.
- Attach plunger sealing the top but do not press down.
- At 2 minutes (2:00) swirl the AeroPress with plunger still on or remove plunger and stir 3 times with included stir stick or 5 times with chopstick.
- Reattach plunger and press down. Only use a small amount of force. Just enough to feel resistance. Stop pressing when you hear and feel air coming out of the AeroPress. You should be done pressing between 3 minutes (3:00) to 3 minutes 30 seconds (3:30).
Adjust to taste.
Inverted Method:
13g of medium fine coffee
225g of 93c boiled water
2 AeroPress filter papers
- Setup AeroPress in inverted position.
- 13g of coffee into AeroPress.
- Start timer.
- Pour 225g of water into AeroPress.
- Stir 5 times with included stir stick or 10 times with chopstick.
- Attach filter base with 2 filter papers on the bottom.
- At 2 minutes (2:00) flip the AeroPress onto cup or carafe and swirl the AeroPress.
- Press the plunger down. Only use a small amount of force. Just enough to feel resistance. Stop pressing when you hear and feel air coming out of the AuroPress. You should be done pressing between 3 minutes (3:00) to 3 minutes 30 seconds (3:30).
Adjust to taste.
